In my newly optimised website, I’ve just noticed that there’s a huge red bar in the GTMetrix waterfall readings for something called…

    ‘/wp-content/themes/Total/assets/js/core/hoverintent.js’

…and when I went over to the cleanup>>themes section, sure enough it was there marked in red and disabled.

First I tried enabling in it basic mode, but this had the effect of expanding the waterfall chart hugely on one line.

So then I tried unloading it all posts page types, which appeared to work fine.

With this being the first day of using this plugin, will the sitewide unloading be ok and good to go?

@steveraven It could a caching issue meaning that you noticed it was unloaded in the CSS/JS management list, but the page caching wasn’t cleared. A good idea when testing in GTmetrix or Google PageSpeed Insights is to append query strings to the URL such as /?nocache=1 as this would force (in most cases) the page to load the latest version of the HTML source code. For instance, WP Rocket and other plugins do not cache by default URLs that have any query string. Sometimes, there are some exceptions for query strings such as “utm_source” (Google Analytics), “fbclid” (Facebook), etc.

So then I tried unloading it all posts page types, which appeared to work fine.

It should have worked on a page level and site-wide as well, not just on all page post types. Can you try to make a new test using the query string I told you about?
