• Hi guys,

We recently changed our caching system from WP Rocket over to Litespeed Cache.

Whereas WP Rocket needed to use a separate image optimising tool for webp images (imagify or shortpixel for instance) Litespeed Cache has its own image optimising system.

Do I still need Short Pixel in this instance?

    Hi @deeveearr,

Yes, you do. LiteSpeed Cache’s image optimization is quite basic and doesn’t offer as much as ShortPixel can. So I would recommend disabling LiteSpeed Cache’s image optimization, and stick to ShortPixel. ??

If you have any more questions, let me know.

    Have a nice Sunday!

Ok, does this also include images optimised by Litespeed Cache’s Quic Cloud image optimisation?

Yes, deeveearr, it includes that as well. ??

    Hi @sixaxis

I’m afraid that I must disagree with your comments.

We’ve just given Litespeed Cache a full 3 months test, and in addition to the website being faster now, nearly ALL of the background images have .webp versions – something that Shortpixel AND the adaptive images plugins were unable to handle.
