    Greetings,

Found FoxyShop and this is absolutely the solution that I need since the theme authors that I purchased the main WP theme from seem to be unable to offer me any support using third-party plugins.

    Problem:

I have the theme installed (Ermark Adora) and have the FoxyShop Plug-in installed. Just need some help getting started. I have added some products and a category but can’t seem to get the products to show up on the INVENTORY page of the site.

When I do a preview of the product by clicking the preview link it looks fine (would like to do away with the QTY and the ADD TO CART links as I am using the plug-in solely as a catelogue). The problem is that I am only seeing one product per page.

What I would like to see:

When customer clicks on the INVENTORY page the customer should see

    Product Thumbnail….Product Description…………………………….Product Price
    Product Thumbnail….Product Description…………………………….Product Price
    Product Thumbnail….Product Description…………………………….Product Price
    Product Thumbnail….Product Description…………………………….Product Price
    Product Thumbnail….Product Description…………………………….Product Price

    etc…

when they click on the product thumbnail they should link to a product specific page that details the product and instead of adding to cart they can contact to buy.

Sounds simple enough….I know the FoxyShop plug-in can do the trick.

Oh…and by the way…I love the plug-in…I searched for days for something that could integrate with WordPress and allow me to drag and drop both product categories and products themselves to change the order in which they appear on the page! You guys rock!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I could probably knock the site out in a couple of hours if I could get this taken care of.

    Please advise.

    -Nick

p.s. Once I get the site up and running I will be sure to hit you up on the donate link!

BTW…I have the site up on my testing server…the URL is as follows: https://adwebsite.us/PowerHouseWP

    A couple things on this:

    1. Make sure you change your permalinks to Month and Name.

    2. Your inventory will be viewable at https://adwebsite.us/PowerHouseWP/products/

    3. You can change the products to something else if you want. See https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/foxyshop/faq/ for more details

    4. See #1 on the link above for details on editing FoxyShop theme files to achieve the exact look you want.

    David,

    1. Changed the permalinks…worked like a charm
    2. Inventory is now viewable at https://adwebsite.us/PowerHouseWP/products/
    3. ??? Not sure what you mean on this….are you saying that I can change the word ‘Products’ that appears at the top of the products page to something like ‘Inventory’?
    4. I copied all of the files into the theme files and went through each to get a high-level overview of each file and what each does. Thanks!

    Minor problem…perhaps you could help.

If you look at the page https://adwebsite.us/PowerHouseWP/products/ you will see my problem

    1. I would like to have the products stacked in a single column (it is in two columns now).
    2. The ‘Jeep Details’ button does not appear to be active and linking to the product details
    3. The product alignment seems to be butted right up against the border on the background. I would like to learn how to adjust the overall position of each post on the page.

I believe this will totally solve all of my current issues.

If you could help I would appreciate it.

    Nick,

Make sure you reset your permalinks again – looks like the products themselves aren’t showing up yet. Just go to Permalinks and hit Save.

You have a weird CSS issue, where the div “section all-medium clearfix” is being set with strange positioning and is over top of your other content so it can’t be clicked on. You’re going to have to spend a little time working on your CSS to get that squared away. There’s weird theme stuff going on.

To get your products in one row, that’s more CSS that needs to be done. It’s not too complicated, you just need to adjust your li’s. If you aren’t using Firebug for FireFox, give it a try. Really makes CSS work a lot easier.

Hope that helps pushes you in the right direction. And if CSS really isn’t your thing, I do provide installation services where I can style your store to match your theme nicely for you. If you are interested, hit me up on the contact form at foxy-shop.com.

    David
