  • You are highly unlikely to get an answer with such little information!!!

You need to submit your query with a descriptive title, and then give more information in your post: what appears on the page? Are there any error messages?

Other people don’t have access to your server, so they won’t be able to answer “What’s wrong?”

dexpro – what browser are you using ?

What brower(s) have you tried? What operating system(s)?

I also find that periodically my quick tags completely disappear. It is hugely frustrating. There is no error message, they are simply absent above the word ‘post’ where they usually are. They have ‘come back’ before but it is really annoying.
…Using IE and Windows XP. That doesn’t matter because the disappearance seems to happen randomly and I’m always on the same computer.

    hello,
i am having the same problem; no quicktags. i just started a blog. when i signed on to the webhost, i chose wordpress for my blog and it was installed from the webhost (version 2.0). i can write posts, but the quicktags are simply not there (i discovered their existence when trying to figure out how to get pictures into the posts!). i went to the worpress files/wp-includes/js/quicktags.js and i can see the quicktags files there, but no quicktags show up in wordpress posting window. should i uninstall wordpress and do a complete reinstall? i’ve only got one post up so it would not be a problem . . .

By default, 2.0 employes the WYSIWYG editor. Quick tags will appear when you turn that off (it’s a box that needs to be unchecked on a user by user basis from the Admin menus). Then the traditional editor will show up and, most likely, whatever quick tags you added to the quicktags.js file. Hope this helps…

Hanson, I get the same problem, too. I refresh the page and they’re there!

I’m having the same trouble, but from the above comments, I decided to try a different browser. Apparently, QuickTags do not work in Apple Safari, but do work in Mozilla Firefox on Mac OS X.
