    Hi,

I would like to use Quicksand script on a page that displays all downloads with a menu or hyperlinked words to sort downloads according to their categories. Just like a dynamic portfolio page.
There is a wordpress plugin for posts. I tried it but it only sorts posts, obviously, not downloads or pages.
My question is: has anyone tried to implement quicksand with EDD? I think it would be a great feature. Could you direct me to a way to do this with EDD, please.

    Thanks

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be possible, although I have never used quicksand. You just need to know the basics of HTML, CSS and jQuery, and may need to re-structure your HTML accordingly. Some of those sorting plugins require the CSS/HTML to be a certain way in order for them to be sorted.

I have sorting setup on my website for downloads using a slightly different jQuery script called mixitup (https://mixitup.io/)

    Hi Sumobi,

    Thanks for your reply.

Your website and demos are really cool. That is exactly what I intend to do.
I am self taught when it comes to CSS, HTML and jQuery. I will be able to implement the changes to make it work. However, I am not sure where to include the script and CSS changes. I am using TwentyTwelve theme with EDD TwentyTwelve child theme. Should I include the changes in the Child theme CSS or the Parent theme?

The Boilerplate demo template is the closest to the style I want to use as it looks closest to the theme I am using.
This is a development site I am working on. (still a testing site):

One more thing, I started learning about CSS and HTML with Dreamweaver but I know that WordPress has a dynamic html so where do I configure the html elements?
I think basically, I would appreciate given directions!

Thanks for any help received and grateful for your time.

    Hi,

Update on my last post here:

I have found a plugin (nimble portfolio) that does exactly what I need. Not perfect style but I am working on it.

Thanks for your help and I will make sure I will pass on to friends your website and MixIt script.

    All teh best.

    Ben
