• is there a way I can make it so I don’t have to jump to the top of the body field whenever I insert code using the quicktags?
    thanks!

  • There is no solution because it isn’t a problem…. at least a problem with WP. Read my two posts.

While this isn’t a WordPress issue, there is a quick way to get back to your spot…simply hit the down arrow on your keyboard and it will move you to where your cursor is sitting.
I have also found that for ease of spelling and grammar checking, I do most of my longer articles in an external word processor and then simply copy/paste into WordPress. That way I bypass the frustrating behaviour of the browser.

NM – I mentioned that in the other post…. back when… actualy, you don’t even need to hit the arrow key. ANY key will do. As I said in the other post, I’ve gotten to the point that I trust my cursor is where it should be and I keep typing after hitting a quicktag.

This has been patched for v1.3, but the same fix applies to wp-admin/quicktags.js for v1.2.

    Darn auto-logout. That was me.

    TG,
Right you are! I forgot that. Please forgive me. Please. Please? ??
