Quirk with MarketPress Product List widget
-
Hello,
I have an odd quirk with the MarketPress Product List widget, which I am using to display a featured product in the footer of a website I manage. We noticed that google was indexing the date July 1, 1999, on all of our pages that showed up in organic search results. We tracked that date down to code that powers the MarketPress Product List widget.
The specific offending code is: <time class=”updated”>1999-07-01T23:13</time>. When we remove the widget from the footer, the date disappears from the page source code.
Is there a way to change this anomaly in the widget coding? I’ve looked, but I cannot find the right file to edit.
Thanks for any help you can offer. We’ve used MarketPress and MP Lite since 2012, and we really love it!!
