Quirky WP Admin behavior…

  • Whenever I log into WP Admin, some of the panels on the left side of screen are expanded, ie. posts, tools or settings. It’s never the same panel and sometimes none are expanded. I always make sure and collapse everything before I log out. Is this normal WP behavior?

    Thanks for any ideas.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
