• The company is now using bait and switch tactics to get you to buy the pro version. They are removing modules on updates without notice. I get it you want to monetize, but quit breaking sites after the fact. Just add new features in the pro version instead of removing what is already there in the free version. Terrible business practice and have absolutely no trust in this company. I was thinking about buying until this fiasco. This makes me think once I pay you, I will update and you will later block something and hold my website hostage because you want more money.

  • Hello @jlc1964,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I apologize for the frustration this change must have caused you. I do understand that this is not a popular decision but we analyzed the product sustainability and growth and in order to further support the innovation and development we appeal to our users to further support our work by either recommending our product if they like or financially via paying for the PRO version. Moreover, please consider that Neve is a customer-funded project and without Premium product sales, we can’t provide any updates whatsoever to the free product.

With that in mind, we have decided that if you want to update to the newer version, you’ll either have to get the premium version to get the functionality or accept that some features would be missing.

If you think that Neve does not provide enough value to use it, I do understand and with the support of those that will do, we hope to increase the value over time thru new features to make it worth it for you too.

Thank you for understanding, and have a great day ahead!

    Hi @jlc1964,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I truly apologize for any inconvenience you may have faced.

I’ve carefully reviewed the theme changelog for the past six months, and I couldn’t identify a module that was removed from the free version. Your feedback is crucial to us, so could you please specify which module you’ve noticed is missing?

Looking forward to your response. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

    Regards,
    Stefan
