Quiz completion advances to next step in Learndash 4.2.1.2

Hi,

Sorry to hear that the “Quiz completion advances to next step” is not working as expected. We tried to recreate the issue on our end by creating a test course (with 1 lesson containing 3 topics and a quiz) and tested the following:
– complete course once with “Linear” progression and once with “Free-form” progress
– changing content order (3 topics with quiz embedded in topic 3 or 3 topics with quiz embedded at lesson level)
– enabled different module combinations (“Quiz completion advances to next step” on with “Topics Autocomplete Lessons” and “Autocomplete Lessons & Topics” enabled disabled separate and together)

All of our tests resulted in topics/quiz and lesson completing as expected and upon passing the quiz the user was redirected to the course page (as expected).

Perhaps you can provide the following information so that we can better understand the issue:
– A screenshot of their course builder (so we can see the order used)
Course progression setting
– A list of autocomplete modules enabled
– Confirm which versions of Toolkit/Toolkit Pro are on your site

This additional info will allow us compare our tests with your exact course/module settings as well as adjust our test course (if required). Thanks.

Thanks for answering.
After doing many tests, I found the problem.

Scenery:
– You have a course with 10 lessons (the amount does not matter)
– Each lesson has 1, 2, 3, XX… topics
– The last topic has a quiz inside.

As an administrator, you mark completed lesson 1, 2, 4. If you want to complete lesson 5 by answering the quiz, “Completed Quiz Advances to Next Step” doesn’t work because lesson 3 isn’t completed.

If you complete lesson 3 and then go to lesson 5, work with no problems.

I don’t know if this is a problem now. Users can’t leave lessons without completing, therefore this problem will never occur, it only occurs at the administrator level.

Based on your outline above, it does sound like everything is working as it should, assuming you’re using “Linear” progress for the course. If it’s “Free Form”, this would be unusual on the Learndash side.

Our team also wondered if the last topic containing the quiz was the last lesson in the course.

The course uses “Linear Progress”, therefore the plugin works correctly, only at the administrator level, leaving lessons uncompleted doesn’t work, but this is an atypical operation.

In the tests performed, when the “event” occurred, the following configuration was present:
