Quiz from posts: who's written the post

  • Hello,

    Is it possible with WP to use posts and authors for creating quizzes? I’d like to let people guess who’s the author of the randomly chosen post.
    I could show them as options 3 authors.

    Does anyone know how to do it? Maybe there’s a plugin which gives the possibility?

    I would appreciate any help!! Thanx!

    I’ve seen this plugin too but this one wouldn’t work for me either. I don’t want to write special questions, I already have a lot of posts and want to use them as “questions” and users should guess who wrote the post (3 options with radiobuttons). It should be an additional feature (a widget maybe) which I could put in my sidebar.

    So, something like this:

    [Here is my post ]

    Guess who is the author of this post:
    [ ] Author 1
    [ ] Author 2
    [ ] Author 3

    and after choosing your answer you’ll get one of two notifications : “Yes, good answer” or “No, this is wrong answer”

    I can’t say i know of any plugins that do what you describe unfortunately, it sounds like quite a unique idea that would require uniquely written code.

    If you’re a coder yourself, then my suggestion would be to find a plugin closest to what you need and modify/hack it to suit the task (i wouldn’t know where to start personally, i’ve not tried anything like you’ve described before).

    If you’re not a coder i’m not really sure what to suggest, other than to keep searching until you find something better suited, or employ a developer to write the customisation for you.

    To chuck a suggestion/idea in though, perhaps comments could be used as a means to vote, with comment meta used to store a vote value. There’s not much information on using comment meta around right now, but this blog does cover the key points if it’s of interest.
