    Dear @nehabishtnailwal,

    Thank you for your topic.

We would like to ask you to provide us with a link where there are not any permissions and no need to log in, so that we can check the quiz in guest mode.

    See the screenshots here: https://ibb.co/rvS2jn9

Also, please let us know whether you have made any global changes, for example, WP updates, PHP version updates or plugin install, because the plugin cannot suddenly stop working.

And also could you please tell us which version of the plugin you are using?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.

There are not any global changes in my website as you mention.

    Thanks for help.

@hyenokian Hello, I’m having the same issue since this week, 2 days ago to be precise. Here you can see a video of what’s happening, here‘s also a link to a simple post using a shortcode from a currently failing quiz.

Also, when adding questions to a quiz the gears keep spinning endlessly, you can see that here.

In both cases the issue actually is that either WP or the plugin is returning AJAX calls not as JSON but as HTML (you can see that in both videos) so the response instead of {...} is actually <html><body><p>{...}</p></body></html>. All we did was add a few more questions and a new quiz, otherwise it’s been working perfectly since we purchased it last year.

BTW, I tried to deactivate the quiz maker plugin and install it all over again (since we kept a copy of the file we originally purchased) but the response is false; again in a malformed JSON format. You can see that here.

    WP version: 6.1.1
    WP auto-updates: on
    Plugin updated: yes
    Plugin PRO version: yes
    Issue happened before update: yes
    Happens to all quizzes: yes

    Dear @nehabishtnailwal,

    Thank you for your reply.

We have checked your website and found that you are using the old version of it (8.6.2).
Meantime, you are using the latest version of WordPress (6.1.1) but we do not know the PHP Version.

Most presumably, there is a PHP or WordPress conflict, causing the issue.

You will need to update the plugin to the 8.7.4 version and check again.

As this feature is available only in the PRO version of the plugin, please contact us via this form for further discussion. Our customer care specialists will always be happy to help you.

Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

    Thank you.

    Dear @cabp593,

    Thank you for your topic.

In one of our cases, the user has the same issue.
An HTML is being connected to the end of the admin-ajax.php causing the error with not only our plugin’s calls.

It causes errors in other plugin AJAX responses as well.

Most presumably, the issue is coming from another plugin.

Previously, we deactivated the plugin and the issue was solved.

So now, please do troubleshooting, deactivate all the plugins and find out from which plugin the errors are coming.

In case you want to use that plugin in the future as well, then please, get in touch with their Support Team.

    Thank you.

@hyenokian I tried this in a separate site using the non-pro version, it works just fine with exactly the same plugins as the other one. This is happening with the pro version ONLY.
