Quizzes disappeared after update

  • This is on a Multisite installation

    After installing the 0.29 update all of the quizzes that I had created were missing. I had 3 quizzes that I was working on developing, and they are completely missing.

    Updated to version 0.31 and updated to WP 4.0 to see if they would reappear. Neither step helped.

    I need to know what happened. I can’t use this plugin if it is going to lose my quiz.

    Also just tried to create a new quiz and I cannot do that either.

    I just had this happen again. Updated to version 0.34. Initially the quizzes were there after the update, but now they are missing. Why? Where did they go? Will they come back?

    I think I have a clue to the problem. I pulled this site from Multisite into a standalone WordPress installation. During that process I backed up my mysql database. When running mysqldump this error appeared: #1286 – Unknown storage engine ‘InnoDB’

    I didn’t notice any other problems with WordPress. An InnoDB failure seems to make the quiz questions disappear. I restarted mysql, the error went away and the quizzes appeared again.

    It appears this affected me as well. the database tables completely disappeared at first. they mysteriously came back (maybe the plugin recreated them?), but were all empty, so all data was lost. Started happening at least on the 17th, but looks like we updated the plugin on the 15th, so I’m guessing that’s when it really started.

    How does one restart mysql please?

    How long can it take to mysteriously reappear? ??
    I’m getting pretty worried and do not have the courage to start all that work over again…

    It just happened again. I guess once every 3 months isn’t bad.

    anyone get any answer on this??? I reverted the plugin but still when I load the homepage all the wp pro quiz database tables are emptied. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
