I provided the path above if you install a clean version of the 1.2 app.

it’s also in the wordpress admin settings under “Shatner”

Interesting…I dont see that setting below my admin gettings….Ill unistall and reinstall the plugin without using the 0.8php code and see if it gets added it.

Is Working NOW!! The setting had nothing checked, i enabled it and is all good. THANKS even better that ‘add to cart’ is disabled when viewing simple product! Thanks!!

It’s working now for me too. Thank-you!

Sean, now that it’s working, can you please fix the spelling/grammar issue? You’re missing the “r” in “your” on the radio button label…

    “Name you own price”

I’ve edited on my end, but my fix will be over-written on the next update.

    Once again, thank-you!

“The default should be true, but perhaps the way I have it coded it you don’t have an option selected it’s defaulting to false.”

Yes, this is exactly the issue… neither option is selected.

I first installed 1.1 and checked these settings before upgrading… neither option was selected. I selected “enabled” and the setting stayed true after upgrading to 1.2.

    Hey Guys,

Sorry about that spelling issue, I’ve overwritten my own changes on that countless times, Also I will fix the default for the template overwrite, sorry for the confusion.

Look for it this evening PST.

And if you are feeling in the ratings mood, someone rightly one-starred the plugin as it was broken. ??

    Cheers,

    Sean

    Sean,

I changed my one-star rating into five stars since it’s working perfectly now.

And yes, a lot more people are using this plugin than rating it… if you’ve given this plugin a trial period, please take the the time to rate and write an unbiased review. It’s the least we can do for Sean and the community.

Not too many WP plugins have a developer that fixes issues this quickly… this plugin deserves a high rating, IMO.

Also, scroll down and click the “broken” or “works” button for your versions on the compatibility matrix. I’m always disappointed at how few people take the time to use this feature. You are not locked in and can always go back and change this (and the rating) at any time.

Sean is there any code to add “read More” button on the simple product display?

Hmm, add to card button has been removed from all my products when viewing in category, once you click on it and go to the product itself add to cart appears…I can live with that…Thanks

    Hey Jortiz,

Yea the hiding of add to cart on categories, that’s by design. It’s a solution since in the category view it would be awkward to put a bunch of name your own prices.

That being said that’s the reason that the template disable option was put in, so you can disable my templates and use your own.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Sorry Sean, but I still have problems. I deleted and the re-installed just now your plugin (I downloaded newly from the web). I went to the WP settings/Shatner and I saw that “enabled” was selected already.

Still I do not see any settings for your plugin in the Woocommerce setting page, neither price is changed when I check the radio button in the product editor.

    Should I do something different?

    Thanks for helping

    Elena

I still coudn’t figure out which is the problem I have. Am I supposed, after the istallation of the updated plugin to see a name-your-price panel settings in WooCommerce/Settings? If yes, actually I do’t see anything.

Furthermore, by adding a new product, nothing changes when I click on the NYP radio button.

Sean, can you give me some hints on how to solve the problem?

    Thank you

    Hey Elena,

The Shatner settings are in the normal WordPress Settings Area, not Woocommerce, that may explain why you didn’t find them, additionally all,

I’ve just uploaded 1.3 which has the spelling fix and fixes the default value, so the template overrides should cause the plugin to work off the bat.

Finally Elena, in order to turn on Shatner for a specific product, you should just see a radio button near the price section on the create / edit item screen that asks if you want to name your own price. Do you see that?

Thanks Sean, finaly it worked!!! I deleted the previous plugin and reinstalled your 1.3 version.

Sorry for the misleading question about the settings, but just to advise you, I found it on this page https://docs.woothemes.com/document/name-your-price/
the documentation comes with a screenshot showing that field settings are available under the woocommerce setting page!

However now it is finally operating.

    5 stars from me!

    Elena
