Hello there. First of all: THANKS A LOT IN DEED for developing this great looking PLUGIN. Well, since about 20 years i am coding in HTML, PHP, MySQL and others but currently do neither have the time (nor current knowledge) to create my own FLAT chat script. So please let me report/suggest the following:
1. On “smaller” machines (web servers with 2 GB of RAM and single core CPU) this script is not usable, because it immediately halts all processes.
2. I urgently suggest a FLAT structure in style of “FLAT CHAT” (ninjadesigns.co.uk), that uses typical user/db/login-logic, but .TXT files as “DB surrogate” .
3. The advantage: The used WP DB will run as fast, as without the known ressource consumption issues and the TMP .TXT files (chat sessions, TMP private chat data et cetera) will be deleted right after finishing the specific chat session.
If anybody, who is willing/ready/able to CODE in PHP/MySQL/on WP environment needs ideas/support, please contact me by return. It would help us all. If anyone of you should have a different (but dramandousely faster working) CHAT SCRIPT/WP PLUGIN, please let me know fast. Thank you.
