I purchased a plugin called WP Bakery, which was recently updated. I installed the update and it didn’t work properly. So I contacted their support and gave them my WP login information to check it out, but every time their support staff tried to open my WP login page, they received a 403 Forbidden error. Then I suddenly started getting 403 errors when I tried to login, only randomly. Sometimes I could access the login screen, sometimes I couldn’t.

Tech support for the plugin still cannot access my site and the error seems to have subsided on my end for the moment. I’m not sure where to go from here. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Your web host may have added some restrictions on who can login to your site through the WordPress admin.

Have you checked with your web host or do you have any security plugins running?

I have disabled all plugins to try in an attempt to isolate the problem and my web host tells me everything appears to be fine on his end but I will check with him again.
