• OK, something strange is going on. Browser and W3TC caches cleared.

Using latest WP, WC and WC paypal express.

    For example…

    4 items.

Product 1, checkout straight to paypal.
Product 1 and 2, checkout straight to paypal.
Product 1, 2 and 3; error “An error occurred, please try again or try an alternate form of payment.”
Remove item 3, and it checks out again.
Product 1, 2, 3 and 4, checkout straight to paypal.
Remove items 3 and 4, and then it fails.

As such, it’s seems random. Sometimes a product will check out, sometimes it won’t.

    Good luck!

This has been a known fault for two years.

I want a solution, at the moment the paid software I bought to accompany this doesn’t work, and I’ll quite happily charge it back.

Now the useless software is giving the same error when the amounts DO add up correctly…

It’s not checking out at all now.

    Why the lack of interest?

And you’ll probably get one, via https://support.woothemes.com/ as directed earlier.

This is the forum for the free version of the plugin. Paying customs (should) get better support via https://support.woothemes.com/

What’s your problem? This isn’t about the plugin. It’s a core WC issue.

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

I don’t have a problem. I just want to see you go to the place where people can give you the best help you with your WooCommerce issue: https://support.woothemes.com/

I’ll stop bothering you though, if you don’t want to go to the place where they can actually help you with this (as they have already instructed earlier in the thread), it’s not my problem.

    (@cjwinternet)

I was instructed to go there because I was using the Express Checkout plugin.

I restored from a duplicator backup, it isn’t installed, only the FREE version of WC. It still fails using paypal standard.

I haven’t heard a word from Woothemes anyway, bit of a waste of time.

Edit: I’ve gone back a month and restored various images. I’ve used different themes and turned off ALL plugins except WC.

    It’s a core issue.

    Blatantly can’t handle tax calculations.

It’s well documented as an issue, it’s all over google going back years.

Obviously not important though because nobody needs this ‘feature’ do they?
