Random cookie boxes appear in editor preview

    Hi,

    I’m using the Gutenberg editor on our site and the metaslider block.

    When I add a metaslider block to the page, it adds my slider but also a whole load of GDPR cookie information appears in the editor. Loads of it. The GDPR information comes from the cookie plguin I’m using – GDPR Cookie Compliance (CCPA ready) (https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/gdpr-cookie-compliance/)

    Somehow Metaslider is dragging that information in when it creates the preview in the block editor. I asked in the Cookie support forum and they said it shouldn’t be happening and might be something to do with the Rest API call you’re making for the preview.

    This only appears in the editor, not the front end.

    Is there any way to prevent this?

    I’m able to reproduce this issue on my local installation.

    This issue shouldn’t be from MetaSlider side as the cookie plugin inserts its markup into the MetaSldier block.

    I will report it to the development to check it and I will notify you once I get any feedback.

    Ok, strange but I’ll contact them. I imagine they’ll say it’s your problem though. The preview of metaslider in the block editor shouldn’t be loading your GPDR stuff.

    And this is our developer reply:
    That’s correct. I haven’t looked at this cookie banner plugin, but my guess would be the banners are being injected on REST calls, which shouldn’t happen.
