• I am getting random internal server erros. It started 3 weeks ago randomly, I didn’t change anything on site during that period. It happens maybe every 10th visit to the web site, admin panel is also affected. Things I tried to fix it:

    1) Increasing memory limit 2) Making new htaccess 3) Reuploading wp confing 4) Reuploading wordpress core files 5) Disabling all wordpress plugins and changing theme

Nothing fixed it. Then I tried to run site on my PC with XAMPP and I am not getting error, I don’t know at this point what to do, could this be related to hosting?

This is the message from server log when error happens, I tried to google it but answers are too generic…WP debug log is empty.

Premature end of script headers: index.php (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server

  • This seems like a server error, contact your hosting provider!

Please locate your PHP error log. It should contain the actual error that is causing the HTTP500 error and generating the message in the Apache log.

You should also check your hosting panel to see if you are exceeding any resource limits imposed by your hosting provider.

Do you mean WP_DEBUG_LOG ? I enabled it but it doesnt have any error related to http error, only some errors with different timestamps from internal error server.

I don’t have access to cpanel, only ftp because the person which gave us hosting is sharing it with his web page but i am gonna ask him if he can check. Thanks for help.

Do you think that maybe you or the other site or maybe another site yet hosted in that same account might be overtaxing that hosting account?
