  • Hello Josh, i refreshed you page for quite a bit but didn’t see any random letters or symbols. I’m using mozilla firefox.

I’ve seen the same thing happen a couple times for me too.

My menu comes up scrambled all the time. Refreshing sometimes fixes it, sometimes not. Happens in Chrome, for sure. Haven’t be able to replicate it in IE or Firefox.

    zipline.tools

I also have this problem. It must be a problem with Chrome, because I can’t see those random letters etc with other browsers.

Your site is doing exactly the same thing as mine Josh. It looks like you are using the same theme so maybe it’s related to the theme?

I have exactly the same problem with both of the websites where I use the Fruitful theme.
It seemed to have started when I updated to the latest version of WordPress a week or so ago.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?

    Same problem here.

    Pic

    WordPress version 4.1.4 and 4.2.1.
    Chrome – Version 42.0.2311.90 m
    Firefox and IE uneffected.

I open the website on any page and then I refresh that page the problem occurs (most of the time).

I read that gibberish like this can happen when you try to ecode UTF-8 text that is already UTF-8 encoded.

Even when saving the page to desktop the website comes out wrong.
After chopping out some text and code the problem stopped happening when I took out this line.

    <script type="text/javascript" src="./MyFolder/admin-bar.min.js"></script>

I’m not sure what is causing this problem exactly or how to fix it. I’m still working on it.

    Maybe this information helps someone.

You can try installing Async JS and CSS.

Might be to early to tell but right now it looks good.

Thanks StefanGretar, that plugin seems to solve this issue but it removes my slider from all but the home page.
Do you have the same problem?

Yeah thanks StefanGretar! That plugin fixed problem.

DevSur I’m not using any sliders on my page for the moment so I don’t have that issue. I’m sorry I can’t help you on that one.

bomberbabacar: I think it only occurs when you are viewing the site while you are logged in and using chrome. The js for the admin-bar might be causing the problem.

    Hi!

I have got the same problem. It occurs when I enter the site for the first time during the session. When I refresh the page or click any of the sites links it looks fine. I belive it is something with recent WP updates. I tested it on Firefox, Opera and Chrome. The buggy sings appear on in all browsers.

    My website

I looks like this while using Chrome:
    Invalid menu
    https://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt296/dooplo/invalid_zpstwilajno.png
    and the valid one
    https://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt296/dooplo/valid_zps87ojdn1y.png

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have another website build on WP+ Fuitful theme and there is the same problem ??

    I think I found a solution.
I have changed all my sites fonts from Open Sans to Verdana.

Appears to have worked for me too except I changed all my site fonts to Droid Sans. Thanks pglabisz!

I’ve got the same problem here https://www.thesparkspace.org

I don’t want to change the fonts if I can avoid it, and I also get the same problem with that plugin – it blocks the slider.

Anyone got any other ideas? Or know how to stop the plugin blocking the slider?

Failing this, can anyone recommend which is the most similar font to OpenSans?

    Thanks!
