Random Negative stock

    We have a very bizarre issue at the moment and I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to pinpoint the problem:

    Every day or two, some of our products will go into a large negative stock, ranging from -40 to -300. All the items do it at the same time, yet the time is different each time it happens.

    No orders are being processed at the time it happens, and no members of staff are making any adjustments to stock levels when is occurs.

    At first I thought it was a caching issue, so I disabled all caches and it still happens.

    I then set up a staging site to troubleshoot, yet the problem doesn’t happen or I am unable to create the required sequence of events to make it happen.

    I have a few plugins that I suspect might be causing it, but as it is on the live site, I am unable to turn off these plugins to try to eliminate them.

    These are:
    Advanced Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce (Pro): by AlgolPlus – 3.1.5
    Oliver POS – A WooCommerce Point of Sale (POS): by Oliver POS – 2.4.0.3
    WooCommerce Product Bundles: by WooCommerce – 6.15.2
    Stock Manager for WooCommerce: by StoreApps – 2.8.3

    And Woocommerce itself

    Because this error is happening at specific times, I have checked the website error logs and activity logs for anything happening at this time, and there is nothing

    I am at a loss and I am hoping that someone can suggest a few things I can try to identify what is causing the problem?

    Hi @wizzzzard,

    I agree with you that it’s probably a conflict with another plugin since you can’t replicate the same on the staging site.

    If you can’t perform a conflict test, can you please try to install WP Crontrol Plugin?

    If a plugin is performing any task then you will be able to identify it with this plugin.

    I have spent a few days sifting through the cron jobs and I can see anything that could be causing this issue.

    I have reached out to some of my plugin developers to see if they can help, so far we still can determine what is causing it.

    As an example one of our products keeps reverting to -280

    Can you please reach out to your host about this unusual behavior? You may probably want to have this particular job disabled and observe the difference. Your host can also investigate into any possible error logs and find out the fault.
