Hi @eic2010,
Greetings from WebToffee Support!
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you’ve experienced where the related products section isn’t displaying random products, despite setting the Sort by option to Random within the Same Category.
We’d like to inform you that we couldn’t replicate the same issue on our end. The related products displayed were a mix of both new and old products within the category, even after adding new products within a category.
To assist you further, could you please confirm whether you’ve specified any products in the ‘Custom related product settings’ section on the product edit page of any product? Sometimes, manually adding related products in this ‘Linked products’ section may take priority over the settings provided in the plugin’s main settings page.
Please verify this aspect, and let us know.
Additionally, providing us with your WooCommerce System Status report could offer further insights into your site environment and configurations. You can access the System Status report in WooCommerce by navigating to WooCommerce -> Status -> Get system status report. If you have any privacy concerns, you may securely share the required information through this link.
Feel free to reach out if you need any further clarification or assistance. We’re here to help!
