random scrolling (up and down) when using arrow keys to navigate

    I use the classic editor instead blocks, so I normally have just one big block (classic editor). A couple of days ago I started noticing that when navigating the post with the arrow keys in the keyboard (to change lines and fix or edit parts of my text) the view randomly scrolls up or down, and not just with the up and down keys, but left and right too.

    I thought it was a browsing cache, temporary messed javascript, but hard-reloaded, changed browser and issue persisted. Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

    As I said, these blocks (one per post) tend to be long, outsizing the viewports height, so I guess it has to do with that.

    Posting a link to some content but really the problem is in the editor itself.

    The same issue also happened to me. This is very frustrating when editing articles. I think the problem is with the classic editor.

    Same thing has been happening to me, even when using Blocks

    I have the same problem with WordPress 6.4.1 and Classic Editor.

    Has anyone solved the problem?

    The problem persists with WP 6.4.2.

    But I think it depends on the classic editor, if you convert the article to blocks, the problem disappears.

    I’m having the same problem with one site. It wasn’t the Scroll Lock key either.
