Random string added to the end of my uploads

hello when i upload a downloadable product it always adds a random string to the end of my upload. Why is this?

This is done for security reasons. If you would like to disable it, please check under WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Downloadable products to make sure you have the
Append a unique string to filename for securitysetting unchecked:
