Randomly Disappearing Widgets

    This has been a chronic issue with my WordPress site… It used to occur at least once or twice a week, and then it stopped happening for maybe a year or two… Now, it’s back to its old antics where I have to restore the Custom HTML from a .txt backup file…

    If anyone knows the origin of this issue, I would greatly like to know so I can finally fix the problem once and for all…

    The issue is with the widgets on the right side of the page. They seem to randomly disappear completely every so often. I don’t know why. I have not done any updates or anything with the base WordPress install.

    I do have automatic updates activated, so do you think there could be an issue there somewhere, perhaps with a particular plugin?

    – If these widgets are a feature of your theme, I recommending asking at that theme’s dedicated support.

    – If you use a plugin for it, I recommending asking at that plugin’s dedicated support.
