That’s pretty weird. It shouldn’t do that but could happen for a couple reasons.
First, Google (or via the Google Profile you or something with access to your account) could have revoked the refresh token used by MonsterInsights, or removed the permission for the MI app on your Google account (which all refresh tokens for MI are tied to).
Second, if you’re using a free Google Analytics account (as opposed to Google’s paid Google Analytics offering called Analytics 360, formerly GA Premium), there’s a limit of 20 refresh tokens per account, so if you authenticated to 20 different sites, and then authenticate on a 21st one, the 1st refresh token will be revoked. Unfortunately that’s a Google limitation and we can’t really do anything about it.
Third, something could have cleared the option the refresh token is stored in.
Finally, this could be a wierd bug involved that’s a result of the older GA library MI currently uses. We’re getting ready to launch MonsterInsights 6.0 which should solve any wierd, edge cases with the older GA library as we now use the latest library offered at each release.
