    Hi,

I’m randomly getting failed orders due to something hanging between the Pay Button and PayPal.
Customer clicks pay, Dialogue pops up staying “wait a second” and then it never connects.
Can’t work out where it’s occurring, it happens on both mobile and desktops, but only sometimes.
Also, occasionally order statuses don’t update from Pending to Processing.
    Any ideas?
I’ve lodged this on the woocommerce board as well.

Hi, do you have a cache plugin installed? If you do have you configured your cache plugin not to cache your shopping cart pages?

Hi, have you been able to fix your issue?

    Hi, Sorry slow response.
No, I’m still getting failed orders with this error.

Cloudflare now set to omit all the cart/checkout pages and purged but still happening. (although I’ve actually been using Cloudflare for about a year without issue) This started happening when I did the Woocommerce update and, coincidentally, my host upgraded servers.

Hosting was my first port of call as there was initially an issue with 404’s on my cart pages – new server wasn’t reading my .htaccess file correctly.
Naturally that’s where I went first but hosting are adamant it’s not server related?

I started using WP Super Cache *after* the issues first arose.
Omitted the cart pages – error persisted
Have now removed the plugin – error persists

It’s not every customer and I can’t replicate the error here so I can’t test it. I’m at a loss with what to try.

Your help so far has been greatly appreciated

Hi, have you tried contacting WooCommerce about this issue? You might also like to check your host log files.

Hi, looks like the problem lay with Woocommerce 3.2 as the 3.2.4. update released this weekend seems to have (so far) fixed whatever was causing it.

Note to self: A week isn’t long enough, wait at least a month, before installing any major Woocommerce release – they’re always riddled with issues. This time it really hurt!

Again, thanks for taking the time to help, it’s really appreciated.

I am glad to hear that you have resolved your issue.

Yes, I would recommend that you carry out what you suggested. I never update any plugins when they release a major update until a few versions later. I also apply this rule to themes and WordPress.

For example WordPress 4.9 is out but I will wait until 4.9.1 or 4.9.2. Meanwhile I keep testing WordPress and plugins in my testing site ;). I have been doing this for years and so far I have been free from major issues.

    Enjoy the plugin ??

I usually wait a week or so and everythign seems to catch up but this one bit me!
