Rank Math 404 log reports a lot of missing LiteSpeed CSS files

    Hello, I have a problem with LiteSpeed cache on a WordPress + WooCommerce site that I’m webmaster for, klimpdesign.se.

    On this site, we’re running the Rank Math SEO plugin, which helps us take care of SEO of course, but also keeps track of 404 hits on the site.

    The problem is, we see a lot of 404 errors on LiteSpeed combined CSS files. I have also been able to reproduce the problem when visiting the site in incognito mode on a couple of occasions.

    Here’s a couple of recent examples:

    My theory is that after the cache is purged, it seems like the pages on the site still try to fetch the old CSS file that no longer exists. But I can’t be sure of this to be honest.

    I have searched and seen that more users have had this issue, but haven’t been able to find a fix for it.

    Hey,
    I investigated the settings a bit more and noticed that I have “Serve stale” activated under “Purge”. Could this be the issue perhaps, that it tries to serve a css file from the stale content that has been removed “too early”?

    Hi,

    there is a known issue with combined file leads to 404 and we are working on it

    please disable JS combine and CSS combine for the time being

    @qtwrk Thank you for the clarification. Any estimation on when a fix will be released, I noticed the issues I found was a few weeks old already. This is a vital part of our optimization of course.

    the issue is bit of complicated , despite we have found the root cause already, but it’s bit of troubling to make out a perfect solution

    please disable the JS/CSS combine for the time being
