Rank Math Auto Post Redirect feature blocked by Shield

    Hi,
    I just tried to turn on the Rank Math SEO plugin’s “Auto Post Redirect” feature but was blocked by Shield. I tried to go in an “manage” the security rules but apparently that’s a premium feature. The Rank Math feature is described here: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-posts-after-changing-urls/ The block message showed a bunch of the .htaccess file so I assume that this Rank Math feature needs to edit the .htaccess file.

    If I momentarily deactivate Shield, activate the Rank Math feature and then re-activate Shield, is it likely that the Rank Math feature will actually work or each time it tries to write to .htaccess will this get triggered again?

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out to us about this. If Shield is blocking anything, it’ll be detailed in-full in the Activity Logs. This is the best way to discover where you might need to tweak your settings. My suggestion is to reproduce the issue, then go immediately to the logs and see what’s in there. If you need help to interpret what you see, let us know, but it’s usually self-explanatory.

    Shield never blocks access to writing to the .htaccess file, or any files for that matter.

    Let us know what you find.
