    Hi,

    I use RankMaths for more than 8 months. Today I have updated my site to PHP8.1. After the update my site experience “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    Then I disabled the FastCGI cache for this site, not fixed.

    After that, I disabled all the plugins and activated them one by one. Finally, I found that after activating “Rank Maths” my site experienced that critical error.

    Then I deleted and installed the rank math plugin, but again face the same issue. Finally, I deactivated all the plugins and try to activate only the “Rank Maths”, but no success.

    How do I fix this issue?

    I have Ubuntu 20.04, Nginx 1.21.6, PHP 8.1 ( Zend Engine v4.1.2 & Zend OPcache v8.1.2).

    Please update the Instant Indexing plugin to the latest version to solve this issue.

    Our developers released an update today.

    That should fix the issue, if not, please let us know. We are here to assist.

    I use Google instant index plugin only for a single site, but my other sites are also affected. So I guess it is not only the Instant index plugin issue.

    Even though there’s been an update to the instant index plugin, the issue is still there. Click update on a post, page and have the critical issue message

    Deactivate the plugin and works fine. This is on RM 1.0.80.1 and 1.1.4 of the index plugin

    @bluemad if this issue is not resolved, please change back to “Unresolved”.

    @rankmathteam please stop marking issues are resolved when there’s no indication of that whatsoever. Doing this must involve the OP, unless there’s been no activity for a reasonable amount of time, i.e. WAY longer than 5 days.
