Before using RapidLoad, my optimized CSS file (my website only has one) is around 20 kB. After buying RapidLoad and installing it, you can let the plugin scan your website. It showed that my CSS file would go from 99.75 kB to 21.56 kB. This makes no sense at all because my CSS file was already 20.7 kB.

Also I tested the size of my CSS file with Chrome web developer tool and there was NO change in the size of the CSS file before and after using the RapidLoad plugin. So RapidLoad shows false data.

I canceled the subscription and now wait for a refund.

    Hey Tycho,

Thank you for being patient I have been away over the weekend. You are correct, you were talking about the compressed file size which is 19.3 KB but RapidLoad looks into the raw file size (uncompressed file size) which is 101 KB. It is around what our website results show. RapidLoad cuts down the size from the uncompressed file size. You will get even better results when it is compressed with Gzip or Brotli.

Take a look at this image which shows the uncompressed size – https://i.ibb.co/HHX3kvJ/2022-02-08-at-2-06-PM.png

Here is the GTmetrix report related to it – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/wpbeter.nl/htqBeQiH/

As WordPress forum doesn’t share your email address please send a support ticket with your purchased email address to our support channel to initiate the refund – https://rapidload.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    Hi Shakeeb,

    Thank you for your reply.

I tested my website again on https://rapidload.io/ and it shows “SLASHED CSS SIZE BY 79.76%”. It says nothing about compressed or uncompressed.

So for me first this looks like “Hey great that’s an impressive improvement”. Then after buying and using the plugin it did not improve my CSS file size. So a dissapointment, it costs me time without any result.

It would have saved me time if you just show a comparison with the compressed CSS file size. Because that is how it in reality is.

    Best,
    Tycho

    Hey Tycho,

The percentage shown on RapidLoad is real and it will reduce your CSS size by 79%. If your server has Gzip or Brotli means you have added advantage of getting your CSS size even smaller. If RapidLoad results are applied on your site you will have an even smaller CSS size.

It will take time to process your pages. You can check your progress on the RapidLoad options page. The page is successfully processed and you have a successful GPSI status result you will see the results being reflected on the frontend.

On a side note if you are checking on your browser inspect you might not see the RapidLoad CSS files because we will load the original CSS files on user interaction. This option is turned on by default. You can run a GPSI test on the Rapidload options page to confirm that it is doing its job. If you are having trouble simply shoot a message to our support team, they will help you out.

Let me know if I can help you in any way. I would appreciate it if you could move this review to the support forum.

    Thank you,
    Shakeeb
