• I used the theme “Daisy Rae Gemini” and changed a lot of things – the blog is ready now for first feedback.

  • IMHO, you did very well, escpecially for being new to the code and system. It is a dark theme, which I tend to like, but it lacks any real design elements. My current theme is pretty dark, industrial and somewhat image heavy, but I guess it’s all relative.

I do have a question, the top left menu (simplicity, silence, solitude) will those be content boxes, or just a demo in window control?

Ideas: use more color for focal aspects; make people look where you want, and add some graphics.

PS: I also like the picture you have of the crow, nice snap; me like birdies ??

Err, still testing out. I wanted to add two high-menues, still not sure with what I shall fill them.

And I am still looking for graphics, not found anything yet which satisfies me. Thank you for your posting.

That’s too dark for me and mine *IS* dark!

I like the design… it’s simple.. however… the text white on black.. is too harsh for my eyes. Even if it was something I REALLY wanted to read… I wouldn’t just because of the strain it puts on my eyes. Maybe consider a light grey background and black text.

white text on black is good in small doses, like pull quotes or to attract attention to a certain quote… but for something like a blog… where you want people to read your stuff… not good.

So never use a dark background, because green or yellow text would not be better to read for your eyes I guess?

just maybe a little lighter or more highlights on the links in sidebar………….
other then that it looks all good to me…………
