• Hi there,

I’m interested in using the plugin with existing images already uploaded onto a WordPress site – so I don’t want people to be able to upload images themselves, but want to set a ratings system for images I’ve uploaded myself.

Is this possible with your plugin?

    Best,

    Tom

Yes, it is, so long as you can move or copy the images to the place where entrywizard expects to find them.

Go to the EntryWizard/Webforms admin page, and read the help item next to “Batch upload of entire entries for the webform” in any webform ( a sample one comes with entrywizard ).

Hi, thanks for this. So from my cursory glance, I would still have to manually add a second set of images, thumbnails and a corresponding CSV file?

Is there a way of pointing to an existing set of images from the WordPress media library? My reason for wanting this is to help with things like syncing across from Lightroom to WordPress (using WP/LR Sync) – as I’m going to be hosting images already collected, adding an additional upload step and not being able to sync the gallery in a more automated way adds administrative steps which I’m hoping to avoid.

If this feature doesn’t exist, any chance of adding it? It would be a nice way to process images for judging.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

EntryWizard was originally designed solely as an image upload facility. The rating module was added later, and the batch utility described above is an even more recent addition.

Yours is a very reasonable request, and it should be possible. BUT: I’m only one person, and I very much doubt if I would be able to find the time to do it for at least the next 6 months or so.

If you have command-line access to your web hosting account, it’s possible you might be able to make the current set-up work using links, but I’ve never tried it.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Not to worry at all. I really appreciate the work you’ve put in and will keep track of the plugin just in case you do end up adding this sort of functionality.

You’ve come closest I can find to something which works for what I assumed would be a relatively simple thing to implement (if waaaay beyond my own expertise) of being able to allow image galleries to be rated/tagged by a third party – in my case keep/discard as binary option, and favourite as a third option regardless of the choice in the binary state.

I don’t suppose you’ve come across anything like that?
