    Hi,

why RC hide all images from the enabled excerpt by default? The page and images are not marked as noindex.

    Thanks

  • Hi Edward,

If a post is restricted then Restrict Content hooks into the_content filter to protect all content inside of it. That includes any images that might be included within the page content.

If you only want to restrict portions of content then you can use the [restrict] shortcode to control exactly what you want to hide. Example:

[restrict userlevel="author"]This content will be accessible to authors only.[/restrict]

    Hi Nose,

do you suggest to put all content below more tag into [restrict userlevel] shorcode?
It’s still unclear why RC leave text but hide all images inside the public excerpt.

    Thanks

Any content you don’t want visible should be in the [restrict] shortcode.

Perhaps you can send me a link to one of your affected pages so I can better see the issue?
