Hi, I have recently transferred a website from FastHosts to IONOS along with the domain name. Within the IONOS control panel I then re-assigned the SSL certificate from one of my unused domain names to the one I had just transferred. After 48 hours I still get an error relating to insecure connections when I try to access the site. IONOS are able to access the site without problems. I have cleared my browser cache and have tried different browsers and devices to no avail.

If anyone has experience of doing something similar, how long did you have to wait for the SSL certificate to become active?

    Thanks

    Pete

  • Which message is it exactly that you see? And which browser is displaying it?

If you did not change the domain when you moved, everything should work without such a message. Do you have an optimization plugin in use? Then clear its cache.

Hi, thanks for responding to my post. My site is now available and has SSL encryption. It was just a matter of being patient and allowing time for propagation. It to just over 48 hours.
