I have been using this plugin with site wide forums and buddypress for a while now and everything is fine.

However, I want to switch away from site wide forums now and instead have forums associated with each group.

It seems the plugin does not pick up forums that are attached to groups – is that correct?

I am seeing this message beneath the post where the options to connect with a forum should be: “bbPress Topics for Posts has been enabled, but cannot detect your bbPress setup.”

    Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Any update available on this?

    Hi cherrymount –

This plugin does not work with the captive bbPress component that comes with BuddyPress. You’ll need the independent bbPress plugin in order to use this plugin to create topics.

However, the bbPress plugin can be configured to create forums for BuddyPress groups, and this plugin can use those forums for creating topics.

I understand there are a lot of plugins in the mix here, so please let me know if you have any further questions about this. ??
