    Dear NGG Support,

I’ve been using your gallery for years on multiple sites I’ve created, the plugin is great, it really helps a lot with my work, thank you!

Right now I have some issues on one of my sites that I cannot fix on my own and I didn’t find any useful info on the subject on any of the forums.

It is important for the Google Page Speed to compress the pictures on the page. But even if I upload previously compressed pictures to NextGen Gallery, the plugin re-generates the thumbnails and for whatever reason, these re-generated thumbnails aren’t compressed anymore – based on what Google Page Insight says and sees. This is the reason why I can’t improve my page speed at all. Can you help me out by telling me how to compress the plugin generated thumbnails or any other way they would appear compressed in the end?

Each picture on the site has an alt and a title tag that are extremely important for search optimization. Unfortunately, I have another problem with the plugin generated thumbnails, namely, that the alt and title tags disappear. I’d like to know if there’s anything I could do so the original pics do not lose their alt and title tags, or is there any way I could edit the alt and title tags that belong to these thumbnails?

Thank you for your help in advance, I’m looking forward to your answer!

    Best wishes,

    Balazs Dienes

@denesys – Aside from replacing the thumbnails manually with the exact same filename in the exact same location there is not much we can suggest at this time based on what you are asking for with thumbnails.

    Thanks!

Okay, it is not so comfortable way like I thought, but more then the nothing. ??

This trick may solve my problem with the compression but what about the alt and title tags. There is no way to edit the generated thumbnails alt and title tags?
(or just make that the thumbnail pics keep the orginal tags)

    Thanks!

@denesys – From my understanding of what you are looking for, unfortunately we do not have a method to do that currently. You are welcome to put this forward as a Feature Request item here: https://imagely.com/feature-voting/

    Thanks!
