re-installing worpress files and sql

  • Hi,
    I built a wordpress site in the wrong folder on my server (I had to re-direct the url, which I did not want). So I decided to backup all my files and database.
    I am having problems re-installing the database… Also I can’t see the .htaccess file. Where is it usually located?
    I was able to re-install wordpress and the files, plugins, theme, etc but don’t know hoe to do that with the database…
    Anybody can help?

  • Watch either one of the videos in the post at the link below…you may want to watch the entire video, but pay particular attention to the part about exporting the database, changing the url, and then importing the database.
