Hello there @nodent,
Thank you for reaching out with your question about setting up an automated re-occurring email every 2 weeks for your event calendar newsletter. I’m here to guide you through the process using MailPoet.
Creating a Post Notification Email:
Your requirement can be efficiently met by setting up a “Post Notification” email. This feature in MailPoet automatically sends out your latest WordPress posts, which can include your event updates, to subscribers. Here’s a quick guide on creating one: Create a Post Notification Email.
Customizing Send Frequency:
To ensure your emails go out bi-weekly, follow these steps:
- Choose the Send Frequency: When setting up your “Latest Post Notification,” you have several options for how frequently your campaign is sent – daily, weekly, monthly, on a specific day of the month, or immediately after a post is published. However, there’s no direct option for a bi-weekly frequency.
- Bi-Weekly Workaround: Since a direct bi-weekly option isn’t available, you can use the “monthly on the” selection and choose dates that best align with a bi-weekly schedule. For example, you can select the 14th of every month for the first email.
- Duplicate for Comprehensive Coverage: Next, duplicate the post notification email with the same settings but select “monthly on the” and this time choose the 30th (or 28th for February) for the second email. This setup ensures that your email will go out approximately every 2 weeks, covering the whole month.
Note
- Adjustments for Months with Less Than 30 Days: For shorter months, your second email set for the 30th might go out a day or two early, which should still suit your bi-weekly schedule adequately.
By following these steps, you can ensure your subscribers stay informed about your latest events every two weeks using MailPoet’s automation capabilities.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
