Re-Order Gallery Items

btw, adding a drag and drop function to the items is what I was thinking.

Also, as I built my 15 item YouTube gallery, I noticed the order of the items in the final Gallery has no relevance to the order of the items in the admin panel.

It seems completely random. This might have to be fixed as well. Otherwise, the drag and drop order won’t make any sense either.

I would also love to see the re-order function (numerical box with position numbers?) as the order does appear to be random at the moment.
In addition, a “duplicate gallery” command could be helpful since this is still not available as a WP core feature.

A quick note for @srbuzz: just discovered videos seem to be ordered according to alphabetical order of “Enter gallery item title” value (first field). I’ve found you can use either letters or numbers to order them.

Ok workaround for now for those who don’t mind adding a number in front of every title.

I just hope the author integrates a better fix soon for those of us that don’t want numbered gallery items ??

BTW, I’m only using the YouTube Gallery.

Now you can change order your item.

Many thanks for this fix however it’s still not working.

The up/down arrows move the videos up/down in the gallery edit page, I then save but unfortunately it doesn’t change the position of the actual elements embedded into a page using the shortcode. Whatever I do, they still appear in alphabetical order.
BTW I’m using a Vimeo Gallery
