Thank you for that. The necessity may come from when the newsletter was sent on basis of data collected in other ways than explizitly to send a newsletter. Like a contact form or order form or… Even if it was an opt-in or opt-out thing.
Usually, if one has collected the newsletter-adresses explicitly for the newsletter by double-opt-in that should suffice to keep sending the newsletters.
On thing I learned yesterday is that now newsletters (and system-mails around them) need a complete impressum in each mail. Not sure if that is true, but very much may be so…
