re-publishing posts

I occasionally go back to re-edit select posts, even titles at times, yet the original information is all I seem to come across on the web. Also, because the sticky plug-in does not work for me, I am simply changing the date of the post I want to remain at the top of my blog, but this does not result in the post remaining at the top of feedreaders I check. Since these types of editing do not seem to “re-publish” (or perhaps re-ping) the posts to the web, is there a way to re-publish some or all exsiting posts without deleting and re-entering them?
