RE: query string added by other plugins is erased when adding language code…
-
Hi there
Great plugin!
Just have a problem occurring after the last polylang upgrade to 0.9.5. I have searched the support forums (and spent a bit of time on Google) trying to find a solution but it appears there was a similar issue to mine raised recently (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/static-frontpage-url-parameter-url-language-information). Then after looking through the changelog, I see there was an entry that mentioned fixing the issue. (‘Bug correction: query string added by other plugins is erased when adding the language code to all urls’) in the notes under 0.9.5.
Unfortunately while the query strings were working fine for me before the plugin update, after the update they are not.
I am using Nextgen Gallery on a site that I am building and showing paginated galleries. These pages make use of the query string “?nggpage=x” to navigate between these pages.
I have my Polylang URL Modification set to
“The language code, for example /en/, is added to all urls when using pretty permalinks.”
This appears to be what is causing the URL to lose it’s query string because if I set this to
“The language is set from content. Posts, pages, categories and tags urls are not modified.”
instead, the pagination works perfectly.
So in essence, my problem occurs with Polylang removing any url parameters or query strings from the url when adding the language prefix.
I unfortunately am unable to provide the URL to the staging site because we have access to the site user controlled.
Please let me know if you need anymore information and thanks for the assist.
