Reaching catalog items via menu bar?

On the Appearance > Menu you can click the screen options on the top right to make the product categories visible.

If you want to target the result of the category filter instead of the category page (as your link) you will have to use the menu custom links.

You can also display the categories automatically but it is a premium feature: https://implecode.com/docs/premium-toolset/automatically-add-categories-to-the-menu/

OK so lets assume I am using another theme, and am just asking regarding the product catalog.

How can I have it on a page that it only shows selected categories, and does NOT show all products?

I am not sure if I correctly understand your question. Can you provide more details?

Your link example: /products/?product_category=6 will display products from category with ID=6.

Or do you want to display products from the selected category? You can use the shortcode for that: https://implecode.com/docs/ecommerce-product-catalog/category-listing-shortcode/
