Reactionary, blocks legitimate users

Installed the free version and then the upgrade version, spammers still register and because spammers use common services like Yahoo!, regular users end up being blocked that have Yahoo accounts.
didn’t stop spammers, wondering if anything actually can with WordPress. ??
