Read access not working

Hello!

I was previously using this plugin to grant write access to select pages for different user roles. It used to allow EVERYONE to read the pages. Now even with the settings the same, it is denying read access to my pages of my website. I had to disable the plugin to allow the homepage to show for non-logged in users.

Am I missing something? What changed?
