Read contents of the wpress file to restore just one file?

    Is it possible in any way to read the contents of the .wpress file?

    We need to restore some code that was just in one php file.

    Or is the easiest way to just restore the whole backup on a new worpress install just so we can access that file?

    You can use our tool at Traktor.servmask.com to look in to the file, but unfortunately not to edit it or to remove the php file.

    You could install it on a wordpress instance to extract the PHP or send the file to our support team to see if we can assist – you can email support at servmask.com
