Read first advice not working

    I have been trying to get these updates to work from 2.2.8 which broke the site and left me out of the dashboard (as other users above).

    after going through 3 or so updates this afternoon I have woocommerce back but the pages are not coming up when clicking on the buy now shop or checkout button – all pages result in a 404 it simply can’t find them.

    I’ve re-saved permalinks as in the read first, but still no joy they are still returning 404s. this is with all plugins deactivated apart from the gateway plugin.
    The pages:-

    Shop Base: #5831 – /shop/
    Cart: #50 – /cart/
    Checkout: #52 – /checkout/
    My Account: #58 – /my-account/

    are listed in system status, but there is no “pages tab” in settings where I could have manually set them in previous versions.

    Is there a way of reinstalling the pages?

    Please help!

    the site is https://medievilfatburner.com and now even deactivating the plugin 2.2.1 causes the dashboard to white out –

    You can reinstall the WooCommerce pages at Admin page > WooCommerce > System Status > Tools > Install pages. Pages already defined and set up will not be replaced.

    The Shop page can be selected at Admin page > WooCommerce > Settings > Products tab, Product Archive / Shop Page drop down.

    Cart, checkout and T&C pages can be selected at Admin page > WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout tab > Checkout pages dropdowns.

    It looks like you are using the commercial Enfold theme. Does this come with some template overides? You can check at Admin page > WooCommerce > System Status > Templates (well down the page). If so, you have a mixture of WooCommerce files and theme versions of WooCommerce files. For best results your theme and WooCommerce need to be the same combination of versions that was tested to work together.

    If you do have template overrides and continue to have problems, the theme vendor is best placed to provide support.

    Hi lorro
    Thanks for your help! Yes I have used Kriesi’s themes on all the sites I’ve done I find them very helpful and they get back real quick in support.
    Somehow the woo commerce update (not sure which one as there were three this afternoon) wiped these essential files so I couldn’t see to select them in the drop downs of the WC settings page.
    Somehow they are still there though because if I hover over the shop link (called buy Now) it still references the old buy now page ie …/buy-now but when it goes to the page the url is …/buy-now-2 which is the new buy now page I had to create.
    When I was trying to find a solution earlier I noted that WC says that the update will overwrite some of the pages that were no longer needed. Perhaps the script goes too far and gets rid of all the WC pages. Let’s hope they sort it soon as I’ve also lost all the gateway settings and won’t know them till tomorrow!
