Read Meter not displaying throughout website

I recently installed this plug-in and would like it to be in effect throughout my blog but only seems to appear if I make changes/update. Clearly, I am missing something vital so forgive me but how do I activate so that the reading time appears on all blog entries? Would it be impacted by other plug-ins such as JetPack? Thank you!
