    Hello,
since today – maybe after your last update (?) – the “Read More”-Buttons look very different from what they should look like.

I have checked the settings, but there everything seems to be okay.
However, in the front end the read more buttons are very bright pink, hover effect in black, even though – according to the settings – they should be white and beige .

Do you have an idea where this might come from?

Looking forward to your (quick) response.
    best regards
    Birgit

    Hello,

yesterday the “read more” buttons of the Blog Designer widget looked good inthe front end until late evening. Then all of a sudden they turned bright pink again – and they still are bright pink, even though according to the settings in the back end, the buttons should be white/beige.

    Please, would somebody help?
    Thank you very much!

One more thing: I have got two widgets of Blog Designer on two different places of my sight:
One on the HOME page showing just the latest 3 posts and one widget on the blog site showing all posts.

The problem with the pink buttons occurs on both widgets simultaneously.

    Looking forward for your support!

    Hi @birgit404,

I have looked into your website. You are using autoptimize plugin. Could you please clear cache and check? If still issue exists, let us know.

    Regards,

pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps debugging,
    frank (ao dev)

    Hello,
    thanks for your advice.
I have emptied the Autoptimize cache but it did not help.

By “adding ‘?ao_noptimize=1’ to the URL you mean just do add this to the URL-permalink of the page? I have tried that but it does not take the ? properly. So this did not help.
Or what exactly do you mean by adding it to the url?

re-configuration of Autoptimize: How do I know which settings I must (re-)configure – and how I must configure them – when I do not know what the problem is?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I am not a pro in this.

    Many thanks for your help

Hey Birgit; where (on what URL) can I see the read-more button with the wrong color?

    Hi.
I have deactivated the read-more buttons now because it looked so disgusting.
And since this strange pink is very neon I would not like to re-activate them.

Do I have the chance to send you a screenshot in this support forum?

afraid a screeenshot doesn’t help no, I need to be able to inspect the HTML & associated CSS to understand what is wrong. maybe on a staging-site?

Hi and sorry for the late response! I was just too busy with other things.
Finally I decided to hide the read-more-buttons, that works fine with me and my visitors.
    Thank you very much!
